Blue/Green aventurine glaze shimmers in the textured paisley on a soft golden cream opaque background with blue luminescence overall.
I see sister beads in rich purple and red, with large paisleys that almost wrap around the bead like a shawl.
The shimmer and colour bleeds into the background organically.

The paisley is an ancient motif with origins in Zarathustrian culture. It’s mysterious tree shape has many elaborations as it has moved across time and continents.
I have captured a textured paisley from my own ceramic work in cobalt, copper and iron on local Australian clay. Green aventurine glaze shimmers in the paisley on a soft golden cream opaque background with blue luminescence overall.
Just like glaze, the shimmer and colour bleeds into the background organically.
