CONCEPT: Coin/medallion style with 3D sculpted sun and lion face (peaceful facial expression/closed eyes).
INSPIRATION: My inspiration was awareness, love, and hope, because I believe that with each sunrise, a new opportunity is born. For me, a lion represents pride, courage, and freedom; the sun, enlightenment, and determination. I wanted a design that embodied those words. I knew it had to be a lion and the sun. In my mind, I see a lion with a bright, fiery mane, standing tall, with a serene expression, ready to roar for a free world, rising and shining like the great, radiant star it was born to be.
The Designer
Hello! My name is Robert Ramos, and I'm a proud Puerto Rican. I'm inspired and amazed by the beauty of our world, every breath of life is a gift from our designer, our creator. I believe that everything around us is pure allurement and art that we should all protect. For me, jewelry isn't just decoration, fashion, an accessory or a symbol of status; for me, jewelry is more than an expression, it's unspoken words that narrates a story far beyond emotions. We wear and carry them everywhere we go and even pass them down from generation to generation; it's history, it's love; it's identity. I've always dreamed of becoming a designer, I've felt the need to create and express myself through art and I've experienced enjoyment, peace and satisfaction in doing so. I have much to learn, since I didn't study design, I simply sit in my chair and let my imagination take flight.
