Overall Concept
A Chinese celestial dragon forming a graceful arc across the neckline, inspired by traditional New Year symbolism (prosperity, protection, renewal).
The dragon’s body is open, allowing up to 6 beads to sit between the head and tail, similar in spirit to the Guardian of Love fantasy necklace—but distinctly Eastern in form and meaning.
Structural Design
1. Dragon Head (Left Side – Fixed End)
Style: Traditional Chinese dragon (not Western)
Features:
Long flowing whiskers curling backward
Antler-like horns
Open mouth gripping a small symbolic element (optional):
Pearl (wisdom & wealth)
Flame (vitality & luck)
Function:
Acts as the start anchor of the necklace; the bead chain emerges from behind the jawline or through a hidden channel at the neck.
2. Bead Span (Center Section)
Capacity: Up to 6 Trollbeads-compatible beads
Inner diameter: ~4.5–5 mm (standard Trollbeads fit)
Length calculation:
Average bead width: ~11–13 mm
Total bead span: ~70–80 mm
Design detail:
Subtle engraved cloud or scale motifs on spacer bars between beads (very shallow so beads remain dominant)
Optional micro spacer rings shaped like祥云 (auspicious clouds)
Beads appear as the “dragon’s body,” symbolizing growth and continuity through the year.
3. Dragon Tail (Right Side – Clasp End)
Form: Elegant tapering tail with flowing flame-like fins
Clasp mechanism (hidden):
Tail tip opens via:
Hinged tongue clasp, or
Internal threaded clasp concealed in the tail curl
Security: Double-lock internal click so beads cannot slip even if clasp loosens slightly
